Since the closure of the former Melvista Nursing Home on Betty Street in 2012, locally based residential aged care accommodation has not been available to Nedlands residents residing south of Stirling Highway. The opportunity for residents in the area to remain in their local community as an aged person is critical to maintaining a high quality of living and this new home will support local community members in need.  

The Melvista will be a high-quality aged care home offering a wide range of amenities and exceptional continuous care to enhance residents’ well-being and sense of belonging. The considered design model combines sophisticated comfort and lifestyle, providing a residence within an aged care home for every resident.
